Harvey Girls Lose to Watkinson in Lacrosse

We thank the Harvey communications department for the below submission:

Harvey Girls LAX @ Watkinson

Harvey’s varsity girls lacrosse team lost 13-4 Tuesday (May 8) on the road against Watkinson. Harvey was shorthanded and inexperienced as both senior captains were not available to play.

Early on, Watkinson took the lead, scoring three goals before the Harvey defense found its feet, and the offense began to control the ball. Junior Abby Hassett intercepted a ball and passed to sophomore Julia Peraglia who put Harvey on the board. Hassett scored again off a crease roll. At the half, it was 8-3.

The game got sloppy in the second half, and despite their hard work, the defense struggled to keep Watkinson’s main scorers marked. Watkinson scored five goals to Harvey’s one in the second half, which put the game out of reach for the Cavaliers.
