Brewster played John Jay, falling to the host Indians 6-5 on Tuesday when John Jay's Brandon Lew scored with 3:37 left in the fourth quarter to break a 5-5 tie.

Foxes Win

Fox Lane's Richard Slenker went 4 for 4 with three RBI in the Foxes' 10-3 triumph against visiting Keio April 11 according Vincent Mercogliano's post on the LoHud Baseball Blog.

Teammate TJ Hallock struck out seven in six innings on the mound to record the victory.

Softball

Fox Lane defeated visiting Briarcliff 16-1 in five innings April 11.

Fox Lane's Erin Vanzandt hit a grand slam and teammates Christie Lombardi and Isabella Rago also homered. Winning pitcher Alexis Bazo allowed only two hits and struck out six according to LoHud.com.

LoHud.com also reported that on the same day John Jay defeated visiting White Plains 2-1. John Jay's Joanna Giordano struck out 11 in earning the win on the mound.

Teammates Victoria Gullen had an RBI triple and Sara Masterson also had an RBI.

Summary: Kennedy Catholic jumped out to a quick 5-0 first quarter lead - led by Andrew Rodriguez first 3 goals for the Hat Trick. Andrew Rodriguez ('Arod') had a career high 7 goals in the game to come up one short of the school record.

The offense clicked on all cylinders and scored 13 goals today. Dylan Kloster preserved the shut-out on a late 4th quarter save.

Note-Dennis Devey and Pat Kelly, who live in the John Jay school district, are members of the Kennedy Catholic squad and the Savastano's are former coaches at John Jay who coached it to the state title game in 2007.
