From a flyer for the march:
We walk to celebrate the spirit of our communities. We walk to show our support for community members who are in distress, to let them know that they are not alone and that we are here for them. We walk to reaffirm the characteristics of our community which we cherish most — kindness, diversity, inclusion and the freedom to live with safety and dignity. We walk because we are stronger together.
