New York's Favorite Holiday Movie Is ...
CableTV.com looked at movie ranking and online data to come up the list.

What do New York, Illinois, Arkansas and Kansas have in common? According to CableTV.com, the favorite holiday movie for those four states is “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
It’s no stretch of the imagination why “IAWL” is so popular in the Empire State. Viewers gravitate toward films that seem familiar to them, CableTV.com said. The 1946 Jimmy Stewart classic takes place in New York.
To come up with states’ favorite movies, CableTV.com took the top-rated holiday movies that AMC viewers ranked and cross-referenced them with state data from the past decade on Google Trends.

Looking at the other states, there seems to be some regional groupings of favorite holiday films. Included on the list are four television specials: “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” “Frosty the Snowman,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”
For California, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico — all states that share borders — “The Nightmare Before Christmas” was deemed the favorite.

And it should be no surprise that “Christmas in Connecticut” is the favorite movie for … wait for it … Connecticut.
