Not Your Average Beer Shop: Brew & Co. Brings Craft Brews to Bedford

Bedford welcomed Brew & Co. its first ever craft beer shop at the December 13th grand opening. Over 150 people attended the event that included everything from hamburgers and hot dogs to complimentary beer tasting.

The public response has been wonderful and we have received a lot of positive feedback from our customers,” said Ashley Diamond, Owner of Brew & Co. “The Grand Opening was a huge success and we are looking forward to an exciting 2015.”

The 1500 square foot craft shop boasts a tap room with 12 beers, microbrew and craft bottles, as well as a large selection of artisanal snacks. Brew & Co.’s selection is focused on American craft beer, with a special emphasis on local and New York state breweries. It is the only location in the (Bedford) area that offers the option to enjoy a beer in the tap room, take a growler to go, or mix and match a six pack selection of craft brews.

“Brew & Co. is also a new alternative party space for up to 30 guests. Available for birthdays, corporate events or boys’ night out, Brew & Co. is a change of pace with our selection of 12 craft beers on tap, wine and snacks,” said Meg Burdick, General Manager/Partner at Brew & Co. “We will also be starting a monthly Beer Lovers’ Club for our craft brew enthusiasts.”

With its sister shop, Vine & Co. down the street, owner Ashley Diamond is no stranger to the craft movement. “After starting Vine & Co. in 2012, we heard many of our customers asking if we sold beer especially local, craft beer, in particular. We quickly realized the need for a specialty beer store in our area,” stated Diamond.

“The growing number of breweries and popularity of craft beer make this a really exciting time to open Brew & Co. With such a wide range of beer being produced, plus seasonal and limited releases, we have beer to satisfy anyone’s taste,” stated Zander McKernan, Beermonger at Brew & Co.

Brew & Co. highlights breweries from Southern Tier to Dogfish Head to Captain Lawrence, guaranteeing something for everyone. The staff is well versed on craft and micro beers and can help customers navigate through what can be a confusing array of choices. Their goal is to suggest and guide customers to help them choose the right beer for their taste and needs.

Brew & Co. is open Sunday through Wednesday 12-7 and Thursday through Saturday 12-9.
