Passenger Killed in I-684 Rear-End Accident Friday
The person was a passenger in a taxi that pulled over onto the shoulder.
NORTH SALEM, NY — Police said the passenger who was in the back of a taxi that was rear ended Friday on I-684 died.
New York State Police have not released the person’s identity nor have they released any more details, lohud.com said.
Around 3:15 p.m., in the area of Hardscrabble Road, an SUV taxi was stopped on the shoulder of the roadway. It was occupied by the driver and one passenger.

Police said a white Nissan Pathfinder, with only the driver insider, was traveling southbound and struck the rear of the taxi.
