Power Outages Reported By NYSEG Customers In Bedford, Pound Ridge
Crews are working to restore electricity as quickly as possible in northern Westchester.
BEDFORD, NY — Heavy winds are causing downed trees and tree limbs which are, in turn, taking out power for customers of NYSEG in Dutchess, Ulster, Putnam and Westchester counties.
Hardest hit, as of 11:30 a.m. Thursday, is Dutchess County with more than 3,000 customers without electricity.
Dover has the most, with more than 1,600, followed by Beekman and Pawling, each with about 600.

The vast majority of of the 1,031 outages in Ulster County is in the Town of Shawangunk. There are about 1,000 customers without power there.
The locales affected in Putnam County are Carmel, Patterson and Southeast. There are a total of 1,248 customers in the dark.

Westchester is seeing its share of outages as well.
There are almost 2,000 customers without power in Bedford, North Salem Pound Ridge and Somers.
