Harvey dropped a 10-4 decision to Wooster Thursday, April 12. Harvey had too many turnovers from missed passes and lost ground balls. Wooster scored early and kept up a steady offense which Harvey‘s defense had a difficult time stopping.
Leila Zuaiter scored Harvey's only goal before the half. Zuaiter, as well as sophomores Audrey Rowe and Melissa Wyman, also had goals in the second half. Harvey’s senior goalkeeper, Hannah Slivka, saved six shots on goal, and freshman Ariana Weaver, taking over in the second half, also had a save.
4/16 – Cheshire Academy
Harvey Girls Drop Lacrosse Contest to Cheshire Academy
A rough start for the Harvey’s girls’ lacrosse team cost the Cavaliers a victory Monday as Cheshire Academy held on for a 15-10 victory.
Cheshire leaped out to an early lead with a string of crease rolls, but Harvey's defense rallied, led by senior Kelin Jimenez and midfielders Lily Brouwer and Natasha Stein who put forth intense effort. Cheshire led 9-4 at the half.
The Cavaliers showed significantly more fire in the second half, with enthusiastic play from freshman Vanessa Mackiewicz and eighth grader Kiana Anderson. Senior captain Nikki Pugliese, who had four goals in the game to lead the offense, helped narrow the Cheshire lead.
Sophomore Audrey Rowe assisted Melissa Wyman in the first half, while junior Abby Hassett assisted Julia Peraglia and set a pick to enable Wyman to score again in the second half. Captain Leila Zuaiter scored two goals, and Rowe scored as well. But Harvey’s strong second half on offense was not enough to overcome Cheshire’s lead.
Boys Lacrosse

In the 3rd, Cheshire responded with two scores, but Harvey continued to find the net and responded with Bowman and Kraus notching a goal each. The heat of the day became a factor as the fourth quarter loomed. Cheshire fired nine strong shots, finding the cage four times.
