Fox Lane graduate and University of Illinois freshman Steven Rodrigues garnered the 138.75-pound (63-kilogram) title at the FILA Junior National Freestyle Championships in Madison, Wis. on April 14.

Fox Lane competed in the Northeast Elite Tournament over the weekend, placing second in what was a very competitive baseball field.

Harvey Softball
We thank the Harvey communications department for the below submission:
Harvey’s softball team lost to visiting Chase Collegiate, 19-4 Wednesday, April 25. Chase set the tone of the game in the first inning by scoring six runs. The Cavaliers answered with two runs in the bottom half of the first, but Chase tacked on four more runs in the second inning. Chase pounded out 25 hits and scored in every inning of the six-inning game.
The Cavaliers, with a total of nine hits, could not mount enough of an offense to keep pace with Chase.
Harvey pitcher, Kelly Barker pitched six innings, recording a 62.3% strike average while striking out five. Offensively, Martha Slivka had two RBIs with a hard hit double to center in the first inning, one of two hits she produced. Kim Bernstein and Kelly Barker also stroked two hits apiece.
With the loss, Harvey is now 2-5.
