Police: If You Can, Avoid the Southbound Bronx River Parkway

It's down to one lane after Sunday night's massive pile-up near Palmer, and police recommend finding other routes until both lanes are open.

One southbound lane has now opened on the Bronx River Parkway, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The southbound lanes were shut down Sunday night due to a series of accidents involving 14 cars near the Palmer Road overpass.

Officials with the Westchester County Department of Public Safety said motorists who have other options should use them, as there will be traffic delays until both lanes can reopen.
