St. Patrick's School-Bedford Honors Local First Responders

Celebrating the Men and Women who Protect and Defend During Catholic Schools Week

This year's theme for Catholic Schools Week is Learn, Serve, Lead and Succeed.

The students, faculty and staff of St. Patrick's School in Bedford, expressed their gratitude for the support that St. Patrick’s School community receives from the Bedford Police and Fire Departments.

The Bedford Police Department provides Internet Safety Training to our middle school students, the D.A.R.E. Program for 5th grade students, and police presence for students during field day and school events. The Bedford Fire Department continues to ensure that our school is safe and teaches our students about fire prevention and safety during the month of October, Fire Safety Awareness Month.

In honor of all they do, the St. Patrick's School community gathered today and gave thanks to those who run towards danger when others run away. These heroic men and women are our police officers, firefighters, EMT personnel, and volunteer and professional first responders. St. Patrick's School students wrote letters and thank you cards as well as provided a basket of treats for both the Bedford Police Department and the Bedford Fire Department.

These heroic men and women live each day fulfilling the theme of Catholic Schools Week.

We will never know of all the times they have faced life-threatening situations or endured life-altering experiences, but we do know they are there to support and protect us, always, especially in times of need. Thank you, Bedford Police and Fire Departments! #ADNYCSW20 #CSW20 #StPatsBedford
