Summer Reading Program to Begin at Bedford Hills Library

Games and incentives will be offered to participating children.

BEDFORD, NY - The Bedford Hills Free Library is kicking off its summer reading program Saturday, June 11.

The Summer Reading Game will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Lists this year were created with the theme “On Your Mark, Get Set…Read!”

Library officials said the facility cooperates with the Bedford Central School District to support required reading during the summer break.

Children who sign up for the reading game can keep track of the books they’ve read and what they still have to read.

Incentive prizes will be offered.

One activity being offered June 11 is “Spell to Win,” which will take place from noon to 1 p.m.

Players ages 10 and up can join a team and compete in games of Scrabble.
