USPS Offers $50K Reward For Info In Waccabuc Post Office Robbery

WACCABUC, NY — The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects who robbed a United States Post Office located in Waccabuc.

Just after 4:30 p.m. on January 10, Lewisboro police officers were called to the Waccabuc Post Office, at 2 Post Office Road, for reports of an armed robbery.

Witnesses said that the two robbers had silver guns and ran off with cash. There were no injuries as a result of the robbery, according to police.

The Postal Inspection Service police force has global jurisdiction when it comes to the security of postal workers, high-value U.S. Post Offices, facilities and postal vehicles, according to the agency's mandate.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 1-877-876-2455 and reference Case No. 3948135-ROBB. All information will be kept strictly confidential, according to USPS Inspectors.
