• Three rescued bald eagles released in Belfast, Allegany County (eveningtribune.com) — Belfast residents recently watched three rehabilitated bald eagles soar back into the sky during a public release in town, organized with help from DEC officers. The birds were rescued after injuries in Allegany, Wayne, and Erie counties, treated at Cornell and Messinger Woods, and then returned to the wild here. It’s a rare, uplifting conservation moment centered right in Belfast.
