Bellmore Man to Play in National Golf Championship

Adam Larkin of Farmingdale State will participate in the NCAA Division III National Championships.

Adam Larkin, a Bellmore native and former Mepham High School student, will play in a national golf championship next year.

The Farmingdale State College sophomore and his his team, The Rams, won their fourth consecutive Skyline Conference Championship. They earned the conference's automatic-bid to the 2012 NCAA Division III National Championships in Florida. The Rams beat the runner-up, The Gators of The Sage Colleges of Bethpage State Park.

According to an article on the Farmingdale State College Athletics Web site, Larkin took the fourth place individually in the in Skyline Conference Championship.

At the Skyline Conference Championship, Senior Chris Arnold (Hauppauge, N.Y.) was the tournament medalist and Skyline Player of the Year after posting rounds of 75 and 73 for a two-day total of 148. Sophomore Rich Kelly (Oceanside, N.Y.) finished in a tie for second place (77-74-151) and Sophomore Adam Larkin (Bellmore, N.Y.) used a pair of 77's to take fourth place individually.

Larkin became a individual medalist in the Skyline Conference Invitational in September.
