Breast Cancer Screening Today at North Bellmore Library
Program sponsored by Senator Fuschillo will be held until this afternoon.
New York State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District), in conjunction with the Nassau Health Care Corporation, will be sponsoring a breast cancer screening program today at the North Bellmore Library.
The screenings will be held at the North Bellmore Library, located at 1551 Newbridge Rd. until 2:10 p.m.
On site nurses and technicians will provide a mammography, a clinical breast examination and instructions for self-examination. Patients and their physicians will be notified of the exam results.
The Nassau Health Care Corporation's guidelines for the program are as follows:

- The program is open to all Nassau County women ages 40 and over.
- Women covered by insurance, Medicaid or Medicare will have their carrier billed and must bring their information card to the screening. Nassau Health Care Corporation policy now requires patients to be responsible for any co-pays charged by their carrier.
- Women ages 40 and older without health insurance will not incur any out-of-pocket costs.
