E-Cycling Collection

With the rapid pace at which technology is advancing, people are purchasing new computer systems, televisions, DVD players and other electronic components in record numbers. As a result, more obsolete equipment containing toxic materials is entering our waste stream. That's why Hempstead Town is taking responsible and proactive steps to ensure that your old electronic equipment can be recycled and disposed of properly. All computers, computer components, televisions, VCRs and DVD players will be accepted for recycling at our "E-Cycling" programs. By participating in e-cycling events, toxic materials, such as lead, mercury and arsenic are kept from entering the waste stream.

Please note that hazardous waste items will only be collected at S.T.O.P. events.
