Nassau County 's van for the mammography testing will be in Legislator Dave Denenberg' district. State-of-the-art equipment is used and is operated by the Nassau Health Care Corporation's staff. Testing will be done by appointment only.
The mammograms are provided at no-cost to women over the age of 40. Anyone who has insurance coverage must bring doctor's prescription and insurance will be accepted, without co-pay; anyone who is uninsured will not be charged. A photo ID is required at the time of the mammogram. Those who have had previous mammograms not conducted through the Nassau County Health Corp. must bring prior films to the appointment.
Appointments for mammography testing are made in advance through Legislator Dave Denenberg's office at 571-6219.
