The case will be heard before the board on Wednesday, June 30.
A Town of Hempstead Building and Zoning Board public hearing will take place at which eight zoning variance requests by Arby's are scheduled to be reviewed related to the property at the former site of Speedy Muffler King. An Arby's fast-food restaurant is proposed to be built at the site, approximately 150 feet east of Bellmore Avenue, next to a recently built 7-11 store on Sunrise Highway in Bellmore.
The site is just blocks away from the proposed Sunrise Highway location of a 24-hour , the subject of heated opposition in the community, zoning variance requests for which are being reviewed by the BZA on March 17.
