2. Stand-Up Comedy by Kevin Downey Jr. Where/When? Brokerage Comedy Club; Friday, 8 p.m. Why Go? Cult comedian Kevin Downey Jr. is a frequent performer in Atlantic City and Las Vegas. Come and be entertained by the artist known by his peers as "refreshingly bizarre."  Pricing: $22 plus two-beverage minimum per person.
3. Novita - Lounge Where/When? Novita; Friday, 9 p.m. - 2 a.m. Why Go? After a hard week of worl, why not relax with your friends with a drink and some good tunes? Bellmore's DJ LonDon plays the hottest club tunes for you to groove to. Pricing: No cover charge.
4. NCC Firehouse Plaza Art Gallery Presents: Transforming Lives Where/When? Nassau Community College; Saturdays, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Why Go? Photography exhibit involving images of Uganda’s youth taken by artist and activist Stephen Shames of L.E.A.D. (Locate Educate Achieve Dream). Pricing: Free.
5. Rock Tribute Band Performs Where/When? K.J. Farrell's, 242 Pettit Ave; Saturday, 9 p.m. Why Go? This Saturday, break out the tie-dye t-shirts and peace headbands, as Greatful Dead cover band "Half-Step" takes to the stage. Pricing: $10 cover charge.
