Man Charged With Stabbing, Murdering 2 Women In Nassau Friday: Police
He has been accused of fatally stabbing 2 women Friday, police say.
NASSAU COUNTY, NY — A Valley Stream man was arrested after stabbing and murdering two women in Nassau County Friday, police said.
According to Nassau County Police Department detectives, on Friday at 12:27 a.m., Fourth Precinct officers responded to Wendy’s, located on Austin Boulevard in North Long Beach, after a 911 call.
Upon arrival they located a 42-year-old woman who had been stabbed outside of the restaurant; she was pronounced dead at scene by a Nassau County police medic, authorities said.

On Friday at at 3:13 a.m., Fifth Precinct Officers received a call from the Lynbrook Police Department regarding a well check on West Mineola Avenue in Valley Stream, police said.
Upon arrival, officers located a 32-year-old female who had been stabbed inside the residence; she was pronounced dead at the scene by a Nassau County Police Department medic, officials said.

Rony Yahir Alvarenga Rivera, 22, who reportedly lived at the same West Mineola Avenue evidence where the second woman was found, was located by the Lynbrook Police Department — and, after a thorough investigation, he was arrested without incident, police said.
Rivera was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and two counts of second-degree murder, police said.
He was slated to be arraigned on Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.
