"Carsyn’s sister Cayden is also a junior at Mepham and his other sister Camryn plays soccer with my sister Bianca," he said. "I have seen the impact childhood cancer has on everyone it touches."

Carsyn is a 12-year-old from Bellmore, who was diagnosed with cancer in 2011.

"Carsyn has been through so much over the past few years, he shows us all how to fight and what it means to be a true hero," Mayo said.
