Man Faces Multiple Charges For Armed Robberies: Police
The man was arrested earlier this month for robbing four places in Bellmore and Merrick within seven hours, police say.

MERRICK, NY - A Hempstead man who was arrested earlier this month for four armed robberies in Bellmore and Merrick within a seven-hour period has been recently been charged, according to Nassau Police.
Jerrod Rollerson, 27, was charged with eight counts of first degree robbery and four counts of criminal possession of a weapon, police announced on Monday afternoon.

According to police, on June 6 he was arrested for entering the following locations armed with a handgun demanding money:
- Sunday, June 5 at 9:53 p.m. – Valero gas station 207 Sunrise Highway, Bellmore
- Monday, June 6 at 4:30 a.m. – Valero gas station 207 Sunrise Highway, Bellmore
- Monday, June 6 at 4:45 a.m. – BP gas Station 2425 Merrick Road, Bellmore
- Monday, June 6 at 4:58 a.m. – 7-Eleven Store 150 Merrick Road, Merrick
Rollerson stole cash and cigarettes during the robberies, police said. No injuries were reported.

Officers found him that Monday morning on Harvard Avenue in Merrick, where he was placed under arrest, police said.
He was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun at the time of his arrest, according to police.
Rollerson was among the eight postal workers arrested for mail theft and drug conspiracy charges after stealing massive amounts of marijuana in 2014, according to a previous Patch article.
The two officers who helped to catch Rollerson were recently honored by Nassau County officials
