Mepham Community Gets Ready To Go Bald
The school will be holding its annual St. Baldrick's event next month to raise money for childhood cancer research.

Mepham High School is getting ready to hold its annual Chop Your Locks event to benefit the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This year's event is set for March 13.
St. Baldrick's is a charity that was created to fund research into childhood cancer. Cancer treatments for children can be even more destructive to their bodies than the disease itself, and funding wasn't going to finding new treatment methods for kids. St. Baldrick's fills in the gap to help researchers find new ways to help save children's lives.
The Mepham fundriaser will be held on March 13 from 6 to 9 p.m. Those who participate raise money for St. Baldrick's, and then get their heads shaved at the event in solidarity with children who are undergoing cancer treatment.
