Nassau Police Arrest Three For Drugs, Get Hundreds Of Bags Of Heroin Off The Streets
BREAKING: Police followed a lead from a non-fatal overdose to arrest an alleged dealer and his supplier.

Nassau police were able to get hundreds of bags of heroin off the streets after three arrests were made in quick succession Friday.
According to Narcotics Vice Squad detectives, an investigation involving Anthony Ingenito, 68, of 7th Street, East Meadow, was being conducted because police believed he was responsible for supplying the heroin in a non-fatal overdose of a Westbury resident that occurred on Thursday, Feb. 16, and for possessing heroin with the intent to sell it in Westbury.
On Friday, Ingenito was arrested at his home by Narcotic Vice Squad detectives, police said, and was found to be in possession of 500 bags of heroin. He was placed into police custody without incident.

During an investigation following Ingenito's arrest, police were able to determine his alleged heroin supplier. Detectives conducted a "buy" operation Friday night at 8 p.m. in Bellmore, and arrested Julius Perez, 33, of Elderts Lane, Queens, and Sahily Lapaz, 29, of the same address. Both were arrested for acting in concert for possessing and selling a quantity of heroin to another for an agreed upon amount of money.
Ingenito is being charged with second-degree criminal sale of controlled substance, five counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, five counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree conspiracy. Perez is charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of controlled substance. Lapaz is charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. All were arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Saturday.
