Vintage View: Beautiful Bedford Avenue

There's no arguing that the proliferation of smartphones has made shutter bugs out of the masses, but the latest craze is giving the flood of phone camera photos a vintage feel.

Free apps like Instagram and paid ones like Hipstamatic use old school lens and film emulators to make photos look like they came from another era. Social media sites are full of these vintage-style snapshots because, frankly, they are fun to take and even more fun to show off.
