• Nike class-action wage case moves from federal to Suffolk court amid settlement push (greaterlongisland.com) — A 26-year-old Bellport resident is leading a proposed class-action lawsuit accusing Nike of improperly paying thousands of New York retail workers every two weeks instead of weekly, as state law may require for “manual workers.” The case, now in Suffolk County Supreme Court after a stalled federal settlement effort, could affect more than 6,000 current and former employees statewide and seeks damages, interest, and attorneys’ fees.
