Bethel upgrades constabulary equipment (scdemocratonline.com) — Bethel’s Town Board has approved over $20,000 in upgrades for the town constabulary, including new in-car computers and bulletproof vests partly funded by a federal grant. Officials say the changes continue a broader effort to modernize police equipment and improve officer safety during unpredictable situations. 
2. Lake Superior State Park is now open (riverreporter.com) — Lake Superior State Park in Bethel is now open for picnicking, swimming, and boat rentals, with weekend hours through June and daily hours all summer. Admission, season pass prices, and several discount programs are laid out clearly, and residents can also reserve picnic pavilions for gatherings through the county Parks, Recreation & Beautification office.
3. Tim McGraw Releases Two Songs, His First New Music in More Than a Year (americansongwriter.com) — Tim McGraw’s new Pawn Shop Guitar Tour will open in Bethel on July 9, bringing a major country show to local fans. He’s also released two new songs, “Song For America” and “Pawn Shop Guitar,” ahead of a North American tour that ends in Florida and precedes his Country Music Hall of Fame induction.
4. Bethel Woods Unveils 20th Anniversary Season with Special Community Celebration (scdemocratonline.com) — Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a packed 2026 season of concerts, festivals, camping, and family programs right in Bethel. From a $20 community Beach Boys show on July 24 to Kidstock, BuildFest, and expanded campground amenities, residents can enjoy nationally recognized performances, interactive museum exhibits, and affordable arts activities for kids all summer and fall.
