Named as a nod to Binghamton’s famous carousels, Tri-Cities Opera’s “Opera-Go-Round” program has been delivering the excitement of a fully-staged children’s opera to schools throughout New York State and northern Pennsylvania for nearly 50 years!
This year’s selection is an abbreviated (40-minute) version of our October production of Hansel & Gretel, based on the familiar fairy tale about two spirited siblings who become lost while searching for food and must and must use their courage and cleverness to outwit a dangerous witch. There will be a brief (20-minute) Q&A session after the performance.
A free performance for the community will be offered on Saturday, September 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Tri-Cities Opera Center.
