• JC Printing Plant Being Turned Into Battery Development Center (wnbf.com) — Binghamton University is turning the former Gannett printing plant in Johnson City into a major lithium-ion battery research and development center, backed by $114 million in federal and state funds. Construction is underway, with completion expected in September and the first sample battery cells projected by late 2026, promising new high-tech activity just minutes from campus.
