• Bohemia Man Stole $16.5K In Construction Fraud Scheme: Police (patch.com) — A Bohemia resident has been charged after police said he took $16,500 from a woman for a promised storefront renovation that was never started. Detectives allege he posed as a legitimate construction company owner using forged insurance documents. Authorities are asking anyone who believes they were similarly affected to contact Suffolk County’s Financial Crimes Unit.
