Local firefighters and EMTs pulled her out about ten minutes later, turning a near-tragedy into a grateful reunion and even a birthday song, while raising fresh concerns about hidden cesspool hazards.
   

• Sept. 11th memorial in Veterans Memorial Park (trihamletnews.com) — Bohemia residents were represented at Islip Town’s Sept. 11 memorial, where local fire departments, including Bohemia’s, helped raise flags around the 9/11 monument at Veterans Memorial Park. Community members, clergy, and town leaders read victims’ names, offered prayers, and closed with “God Bless America” to honor those lost 25 years ago.
