• 1 Killed After Vehicle Crashes Into Toll Booth, Catches Fire In Smithtown: Police (patch.com) — State Police based in Brentwood responded Monday morning to a deadly one-car crash and fire at the Sunken Meadow State Parkway toll booths in Smithtown. One person was found dead in the burned vehicle, and investigators are still working to confirm the victim's identity and the car's make and model. Multiple agencies assisted, and more details are expected.
