Brentwood High School Celebrates Scholars

Valedictorians Named for the 2018-19 School Year

Brentwood, N.Y. (June 2019)—The Brentwood Union Free School District is overjoyed to announce Brian Palacios Paz as the valedictorian for the Class of 2019 at Brentwood High School Ross Center and Leonardo Campos as the valedictorian for the Class of 2019 at Brentwood High School Sonderling Center.

“Beyond their commitment to studies in the classroom, Brian and Leonardo have presented themselves as exemplary students throughout their entire high school career,” said Mr. Richard Loeschner, superintendent of Brentwood Union Free School District. “We are incredibility proud of their accomplishments and have the utmost confidence that they will continue to thrive in all of their future endeavors.”

Brian Palacios Paz, valedictorian of Brentwood’s Ross Center, will graduate with a cumulative grade-point average of 105.2 (weighted). He will be pursuing a degree at the United States Naval Academy in computer engineering. During his time as a student in the district, Brian’s extracurricular activities included AFJROTC NY-773 wing commander, secretary of the National Honor Society, vice president of Kitty Hawk Air Society, first officer of Rho Kappa Honor Society, and Ministerio Pentecostal “El Gran Yo Soy” musician.

With a cumulative grade-point average of 106.22 (weighted), Leonardo Campos, valedictorian of the Sonderling Center, plans to attend Columbia University where he will be studying biomedical engineering. Leonardo was involved with environmental research at Stony Brook University, varsity tennis, Science Olympiad, English Honor Society, and National Honor Society. He was also recognized by The College Board’s National Recognition Program for his exceptional PSAT score.
