Brentwood Man Robbed 5 Businesses Within 4-Day Span: PD
The man robbed multiple businesses across Long Island within a 4-day span, police say.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — A Brentwood man was arrested and charged on Monday, after Suffolk County Police police said he committed five commercial burglaries during a four-day span.
Tyrone Stevens, 60, was charged with five counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of third-degree criminal mischief, and possession of burglars' tools, police said.
According to police, officers responded to a call on Monday for a burglary at Wendy’s Beauty Salon, located at 50 West Suffolk Ave. in Central Islip, at about 2:30 a.m.

After speaking with witnesses, Third Precinct Officers Ryan Warkenthien and Jason Hernandez, along with K-9 Section Police Officer Robert Stroehlein and his K-9 partner Sparks, searched for the burglar.
They located Stevens, who was a short distance away on West Suffolk Avenue, at about 3:25 a.m., police said.

Upon further investigation, police determined that Stevens burglarized:
- Sunoco, located at 360 Wheeler Road, Hauppauge, on April 30 and stole cash and cigarettes.
- The Garage, located at 170 Bridge Road, Islandia, on April 30, and fled with no proceeds.
- Family Dollar, located at 58 East Suffolk Ave., Central Islip, between May 1 and May 2 and stole headphones.
- B&C Auto Tech, located at 22 West Suffolk Ave., Central Islip, between May 1 and May 2 and stole money and inspection stickers.
- Wendy’s Beauty Salon, located at 50 West Suffolk Ave., Central Islip, on May 2 and stole money.
Additionally, Stevens broke windows at Modello Gift Shop, located at 45 West Suffolk Ave., Central Islip, and Intermex International Money Express, located at 45 West Suffolk Ave., Central Islip, on Monday, but did not enter the buildings, police said.
