Students in O'Neill Elementary School are engaging in a series of activities with their teachers focused on learning about the significances of Black History in our Nation. Images in this presentation showcase students in Ms. Stephanie Portillo's sixth grade class reading biographies about role model Black Americans to students in Ms. Sara Montgomery's first grade class. Students are using the "buddy system" as they then talked about what they have learned about the significant contributions and impacts these men and women made on American History.
