Major LI Heroin Dealer Sentenced To Prison

The 32-year-old, who was part of a major Suffolk heroin ring that was dismantled, was arrested last year.

A drug dealer who was part of a Suffolk County heroin ring that was dismantled last year was recently sentenced to 46 years to life in prison, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.

Anthony Baptiste, 32, of Brentwood was arrested last year along with career criminal Hervil St. Louis of Jamaica, Queens who supplied high-quality "heavy" heroin to Baptiste, according to the DA.

He was found with a quarter kilogram of heroin that was intended for sale in Suffolk County.

He was charged with operating as a major trafficker, first degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second degree conspiracy as well as first and second degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Justice Mark Cohen found Baptiste guilty after a six-week trial, the DA said.
