Man Left Injured 1-Year-Old Dog Tied Up Outside Over A Week: SPCA
The dog appeared to have been hit by a car over a week before he was found without receiving any veterinary care, the SPCA said.

BRENTWOOD, NY - A Brentwood man was arrested on Wednesday for animal cruelty after leaving his dog tethered on a short leash outside for over a week, according to the Suffolk County SPCA.
The SPCA received a call that a 1-year-old male beagle mix was tethered on a short leash with no water available in a truck yard.
The dog had a severely injured leg that was dislocated in two spots, which severely impaired his ability to walk, as well as a broken bone and an open wound.

The dog had been allegedly struck by a car over a week before without receiving any veterinary care, the SCPA said.
The dog was taken to a veterinary clinic for treatment for its severe injuries.

Amner Mendoza, 44, was charged with failure to provide proper sustenance.
He was booked at the Third Precinct and is scheduled to appear in First district court on June 14, the SPCA said.
