• From Manhattan to Montauk, a new trail is taking shape (southforker.com) — Plans for the Long Island Greenway include a major section from Eisenhower Park to Brentwood State Park and another from Brentwood to Riverhead, putting Brentwood residents near the heart of a new 200-mile walking and biking route. Design work is underway, with construction on the first 25 miles expected to start in late 2026, promising safer, off-road connections across Long Island.
