Police: One Dead After Car Crashes into Sunken Meadow State Park Toll Booth, Bursts into Flames (longisland.com subscription) — State Police based in Brentwood responded Monday to a deadly one-car crash at the Sunken Meadow State Parkway toll booths in Smithtown, where a vehicle hit the structure and burst into flames. Investigators are still working to identify the victim and even the vehicle, and multiple agencies assisted as the probe into what happened continues.
