Federal prosecutors say the case marks a major step in dismantling a gang network that terrorized Brentwood and neighboring communities for years.
   

• NY State Trooper Who Killed Man At Campground Identified As Brentwood Native (dailyvoice.com) — A New York State trooper involved in a fatal shooting at a Catskill-area campground has been identified as Ronal Diaz-Arriaza, a native of Brentwood on Long Island and former Suffolk County police officer. State police say Diaz-Arriaza fired after a man allegedly pointed a realistic-looking BB gun at him, and the state Attorney General's office is now reviewing the case.
