Students Break out of Shell for Egg Hunt

My Brother's Keeper at Brentwood High School Hosts Egg-stravagant Weekend Event for Elementary Students

BRENTWOOD, NEW YORK (APRIL 2021)—Members of Brentwood High School’s My Brother’s Keeper egged on fun with the district’s elementary students this month to enhance relationships within the school community.

As a joint collaboration between MBK fellow Ezequiel Diaz and members of the BHS Health and Wellness Club, the Spring Egg Hunt welcomed hundreds of community members to East Elementary School to participate in physical education (PE) activities, arts and crafts, and an interactive dance segment facilitated by PE teachers Suzy Goumba and Andrea DiMaria.

Local organizations also showcased their commitment to the Brentwood school community by providing literacy materials and food. Each student that attended received books, at no cost, from The Book Fairies and Pronto of Long Island. Families were also provided a care package of food from Branches Long Island.
