Two Injured In Crash Between Ambulette, Bus

The crash occurred on Wednesday morning.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY - Two people were hospitalized after a crash between an ambulette and a bus in Central Islip on Wednesday morning, according to Suffolk County police.

Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of East Maple Street and Prospect Avenue at 8:50 a.m.

The male driver of the ambulette, which was traveling westbound on East Maple Street, and a female passenger were both transported to local hospitals for treatment of minor injuries.

The male driver of the bus, which was traveling southbound on Prospect Avenue, a female aide and two child passengers, a male and female, were not injured.
