Triumph Construction Spreads Holiday Cheer for Hunts Point Children
Local Company Continues Beloved Tradition of Gift-Giving for Every Student at La Peninsula Head Start.
A cherished holiday tradition! Each December, Triumph Construction Corp. (Hunts Point, NY) plays Santa for the boys and girls of La Peninsula Head Start, purchasing and wrapping everything on the children’s gift lists. Triumph Construction Office Manager Shirley Jacobs was among those helping Santa with this year’s delivery.
Hunts Point, Bronx, NY (December 18, 2025) – Triumph Construction Corp., one of the largest privately-held utility contractors in the New York metropolitan area, has once again brought holiday joy to the entire population of three- to five-year-olds at La Peninsula Head Start (La Pen) in Hunts Point, New York.
“For us, this isn’t just about gifts,” explained Carlo Cuzzi, Founder and President of Triumph Construction. “It’s about showing these children and their families that their community cares. Seeing the excitement when they open their presents reminds us why we started this tradition more than 15 years ago and why we’ll keep it going for years to come.”

According to Cuzzi, whose construction company is headquartered on nearby Seneca Avenue, each child at La Peninsula Head Start writes a letter to Santa, and Triumph Construction works hard to fulfill those wishes. Employees volunteer their time to shop, wrap, and deliver the gifts.
“Our team looks forward to this every holiday season,” added Triumph Construction Office Manager Shirley Jacobs, who heads up the effort and each year helps deliver the presents. “It’s a chance to give back in a meaningful way.”

La Peninsula Head Start has served more than 1,000 preschool children since its founding in 1965, providing comprehensive services to meet the needs of Hunts Point’s most vulnerable families.
