1.   Board Meetings Around Town

A number of board meetings are on the schedule for this week, allowing residents to stay current with what is going on in their local governments and make their voices heard. Here are meetings scheduled for the week of September 19.

• Monday Sept. 19 - Tuckahoe Board of Trustees Meeting (Village Hall, 8 PM)
• Tuesday Sept. 20 - Eastchester Town Board Meeting (Town Hall Auditorium, 8 PM)
• Tuesday Sept. 20 - Tuckahoe Planning Board Meeting(Village Hall, 7:30 PM)
• Wednesday Sept. 21 - Library Board of Trustees Meeting (Library Auditorium, 6 PM)
• Thursday Sept. 22 - Eastchester Planning Board Meeting (Town Hall Auditorium, 7 PM)
• Thursday Sept. 22 - Eastchester Recreation Advisory Board (2nd Floor Conference Room, 7:30 PM)

Starting in September, 2011, Cablevision will begin eliminating the duplicate analog feeds of their programming channels in the basic and family plans in Westchester County, resulting in a fully digital cable system. Transition will begin September 20th and be completed mid December, 2011.

2.   Lady Broncos Dominate Villa Bears Cross-Country Invitational, Cain Smashes Meet Record

Led by sophomore Mary Cain, the Bronxville High School girls Cross-Country team ran away with victory at this weekend's Villa Bears Invitational at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, placing five runners in the top 10 finishers. Cain won the race by close to 1 minute, finishing the 2.5 mile course in 14 minutes and 16.1 seconds (an average of 5:43 per mile). Also finishing in the top 10 in the race were teammates Meredith Rizzo (3rd overall, 15:18), Courtney Campbell (7th overall, 16:01), Amelia Phillips (8th overall, 16:11) and Argentina Chrappa (10th overall, 16:22). 3.   Save the Date: Eastchester Community Bond Information Meeting Oct. 4

The Eastchester School District has set Oct. 4 as the date of a Eastchester Community Bond Information Meeting. Residents are invited to come see the plans for the proposed Middle School addition. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Board Members, District Administrators and parents about the space issues and the impact on students and academic programs. 4.   Cablevision Eliminating Duplicate Analog Feeds

Starting in September, 2011, Cablevision will begin eliminating the duplicate analog feeds of their programming channels in the basic and family plans in Westchester County, resulting in a fully digital cable system. Transition will begin September 20th and be completed mid December, 2011.

Current Cablevision analog customers will now require additional equipment, including set top boxes to be able to view programming after the transition.

Cablevision has been taking multiple measures to inform their analog customer of the service changes however, if you currently have an analog system have not yet received notification from Cablevision, please call 914-777-9000 for further information.

5.   Eastchester Annual Yard Sale Spots Available
