6-Mile Police Chase from Yonkers to NYC, 2 Officers Injured

Two were arrested Friday

Two men were arrested on narcotics and other charges Friday following a six-mile police chase from Yonkers to New York City that resulted in two officers suffering minor injuries, according to authorities.

The Journal News reports the incident started at about 6 p.m. when Yonkers police officers spotted a drug deal taking place in a parking lot on Kimball Avenue.

One suspect, Nanuet resident Neil Guerriero, 25, tried to run away on foot as officers approached but was caught. The other suspect, Bronx resident Simon Cabrera, 24, drove off, leading police on the chase that ended when he crashed into two cars on near the Henry Hudson Parkway. As he drove off, Cabrera’s car knocked down two officers who suffered minor injuries.

This police chase follows a pair of separate, unrelated fatal chases in Yonkers in recent weeks.
