Lucille [Mastrobuono] and Tony Nunno celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Ciao’s Restaurant this weekend with their three children George, Anthony [AJ], Andrea, their son-in-law Art Nigro and grand child Madeline. Also in attendance were close relatives and intimate family friends.
The Nunno’s were born and raised in Eastchester, attended the local schools and met in May 1960. They were married in the Assumption Church on September 2, 1961 by Father Anthony Maltese. Both Lucille and Tony are life long residents of Eastchester and, after a 2 year military stint in Fischbach, Germany, settled and still reside in the same house on Alkamont Avenue in the north end of Eastchester.
Lucille was an executive secretary with the Johns Manville Corporation in New York City and has been the Office Manager for the Police Tutorial Service in Eastchester for the past 28 years. While her children were in school, she was a member of the Greenvale PTA [Co-President for 2 years] and held several executive positions as a member of the Eastchester High School Home School Association. Lucille is involved with several community organizations and is a District Leader for the Eastchester Republican Party. She was presented with the distinguished Frank McGinnis award at last year’s annual dinner dance for her diligence, conscientiousness work ethic and dedication to the Party.
