Barnes & Noble 'New Concept' Eastchester Store Opening Will Be Delayed
Construction delays were the main culprits.

EASTCHESTER, NY — The opening of Barnes & Noble’s “new concept” store, in which customers could have some wine or beer while browsing the books, has been delayed.
The chain had said that store, being built in the Vernon Hills Shopping Center in Eastchester, was supposed to open in October but construction delays changed those plans, the Journal News said.
The store was also fined for allowing employees to work and train in the building when it didn’t have a certificate of occupancy.

Barnes & Noble announced in June during an investor call that four new concept stores would be opening, with the first being in Eastchester.
Along with a broad assortment of books, expanded seating and large open spaces for in-store event, they would all have full-service restaurants that serve wine and beer.
