And Then There Were Six in Larchmont...
I am a Counselor-in-Training at Challenge Camp in Eastchester this summer and my blog is about my experience hosting three Chinese teenagers at Camp and at home.

This week my family and I are hosting three exchange students from China. The number of kids in my family has doubled.
Thanks to Challenge Camp, in Bronxville/Eastchester, my family has gotten the chance to have this adventure. Challenge Camp welcomed 13 children from Shanghai and I have learned so much from the three living with us: Coco, Elaine and Smile (yes Smile...) both at camp and at home.

There are a few things that I have found interesting that I was not expecting.
1. They have traveled much lighter then most teenage girls do. There is less makeup and clothes then I know I would carry.

2. They are as much into technology and Apple products as we are. Everyday after camp so far they have wandered back into my room to charge their iPhones, iPads and iPods.
3. They are very scared of my dogs and dogs in general. It's not about the size—my dogs are about under a foot tall—but more because they are not used to seeing them in homes.
