Two yoga classes a week keeps your nervous system quieter, builds your stamina, enhances your sleep and aids your relaxation.

For many, parents and children, the September back-to-school rush can certainly be exciting, but at the same time, pretty stressful for all.
The children are still winding down from summer and day camps, returning from vacation and excited to be reunited with their friends…while parents are running around frantically, ensuring that everything from new school clothes, school supplies to packed lunches are ready to go on that first day back.

Even after the day has come and gone, the madness remains as sleep patterns need to be adjusted, new schedules begin and the relaxing summer fades away. We all move forward into a tense and regimented fall ahead.

For children and teens, particularly those starting at new schools, this transitional time can be fraught with anxiety and nerves as they deal with new settings, classes, teachers and friends. Kids, Teens & Family yoga classes offered at Yoga Haven are the perfect tool to keeping your children active and healthy, helping them to deal with the stress, anxiety and hyperactivity that they may be experiencing at this time.
The kids and teen schedule at is as follows:
Monday’s in Scarsdale:
Sweat & Strengthen for Teen Boys 5-6pm with Jamie
Tuesday’s in Scarsdale:
Kids Yoga 6-10 years old 4-5pm with Melanie
Teen Yoga 11 and up 5:15-6:15pm with Melanie
Saturday’s in Tuckahoe
Kids Yoga 6-10 years old 1-2:15pm with Jody
(Adult Level 1 class held at the same time as the Kids Yoga)
Teen Yoga 11 and up 2:30-3:45pm with Jody
All classes are drop-ins. You may also sign your child up in advance using our on-line scheduling system MindBody. Purchase a series of classes ahead of time and confirm your child is coming to the studio before class.
