For Those Who Have to Work on New Year's Eve...

A Bronxville writer has penned a holiday short story, starring one of those folks. The story may also appeal to those who love the music of the 50s and 60s.

 ...This story is for you!

I've always felt sorry for those who have to work on holidays, especially New Year's Eve.  Everybody else is ringing in the New Year, and those folks are working away the hours until midnight -- and sometimes long after that.   I decided to write a New Year's Eve short story, told from the viewpoint of someone who's working that night.

Here's a summary of my story, "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?":

Having to work on New Year's Eve is a drag.  But maybe not so much when you can work with just your hands and leave your brain free to plan a nice little New Year's Day surprise for an old nemesis.  Revenge is sweet.  Yes, it will be a happy new year after all!

I'm a great fan of music from the 50s and 60s (y'know, Connie Francis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Harvey and the Moonglows, The Marcels, Bobby Darin, and more).  No surprise, the main character in my story is a fan too.  That music is an important part of the story's plot.

If you read my story, hope you enjoy it.  Happy 2013!
